Negative Spaces
Time is a precious resource that we fill up with activities. If there’s an opening in our schedule, we have little difficulty finding something to fill that space. But our full attention isn’t available at each waking moment, it needs time to recharge like our bodies. Much like a rise or fall in income affects one’s lifestyle, a change in free time is spent as quickly as it appears.
Sleep Dep Not All Bad for Creatives
The prevalence of sleep deprivation is evident in our massive market for coffee and other stimulants. Although our mind requires rest to maintain peak functionality, we make do by relying on stimulants to simulate wakefulness. A regular lack of sleep results in weight gain and reduced decision making ability. In extreme cases sleep deprivation can be terminal, but thats only under extraordinary circumstances.
