Just a heads up on some ideas I was thinking about this AM about what we’re doing: generating personalized/customized advertisements specific to a user.
We’re going to do this by using public available data, any other sources/feeds users authorize, and user feedback to develop an internal database(s). To go along with this we’ll need to develop algorithms to help pool semantic knowledge from multiple internet sources to merge/weight behavior and social connections.
Forget for a second that we’re targeting ads as final content. We are generating custom user web page experiences based on personal likes/dislikes. Imagine additional applications we can leverage with these tools/data? This could really be the beginning of a virtual assistant scouring the internet for information users want. It could literally learn about likes and dislikes. We could perform secondary analyses on the customized “agents/actors” to look for trends, groups, taxonomies, etc.

That’s some very bold thinking right there. We whould probably set up a timeline of things we want to accomplish first (i.e. intelligent ads) and then go from there (i.e. different elements of the virtual assistant). This is powerful stuff if it works well

Yaya far out stuff. Near term just get the bare framework or just a model of it showing the potential value. Learned a little more about lift this morning. Makes sense to read about the design of the web language before mangling the code. Looks like the guys who are supporting it had great vision for what they wanted in a web language (Dave pollack started it, now there is a dozen or so folks involved with it’s development)

I’ve updated the summary sheet today to begin to describe how the technology will be structure (input, output, etc.), how it’s different from what’s out there, and how it will be distributed. I hit a wall with commercials and will probably get back to it either later tonight or tomorrow – I just wanted for you to see how I’m progressing and to determine if I’m still on the right track:
Word file: http://files.getdropbox.com/u/1425649/Intelligent%20Advertising%20Media%20Manager%20-%20Summary%20v2.docx
The formatting is coming out strangely for the Shared Document – I’ll try to fix this but I think the Word document will do for now.

Ok, I made further additions to the Summary document. I have begun to describe the structure of the IAMM solution (input, output, etc.), the distribution channels we’ll probably pursue, and what makes our product different. I hit a wall with the commercial structure and will think about that more and update either later tonight or tomorrow:
Word Document: http://files.getdropbox.com/u/1425649/Intelligent%20Advertising%20Media%20Manager%20-%20Summary%20v2.docx
Google Docs is messing up the formatting for some reason so I will try to figure that out and then post a shared doc as well.

I’m having some issues with posting new responses after I log in. I made a few updates to the summary document: http://files.getdropbox.com/u/1425649/Intelligent%20Advertising%20Media%20Manager%20-%20Summary%20v2.docx
But I hit a wall with the commercial/financial part for now. =

Yeah I need to lookup comment spam filtering and turn it off – will give a read through tomorrow, I trust you’re working it. We’ll sink up and make sure we’re all on the same page next week sometime
