Awesome feedback/share Charlie. Appreciate your advice here. The social noise filter is part of the solution, great direction.

I want to tune into my friends, but only to topics/type of posts that fall into my relevancy bin. This bin can expand or contract over time and usually limited by how much time I want to spend siphoning in data.

When I have the time, I really appreciate listening to what my friends and colleagues are most excited about. What wild ideas they're cooking up gets me interested.

platform choice matters once you start scaling. choose the rare air of java and you'll pay for it down the road when you need to add developers. I hate to say it but the easiest path that scales is .Net.

That said, I'm using c++/flash/flex/adobe air with sqlite for the native desktop piece, .Net for the server, MSFT SQL Server 2008 for server db, flash and ajax for the browser UI.

don't forget the social noise filter...end friendspam.

Yeah I sure did, best of luck with your project, sounds interesting.

Glad you found some utility in the list. I now refer back to it when I need to grab documentation on specifics or examples.

I think this topic was more helpfull for my problem (as introducing some resources for real time update programming tools) instead of your's :D
thanks for it.
Mr. Essel, did you see my reply in your previous article?
