Appreciate the different take on the emotionally charged motivators of anger/excitation. While we can't control irrational feelings with rational methods, we can better understand them with reason. From the socialogical/psychological background to the physical neurological chemistry of our excited states, there are methods to our madness ;)

I love the positive attitude of your writing; intelligent and yet somehow manages not to be despairing. I think you nailed the problem as frustration. A frustrated impotence is what many (including myself) feel as they view the world's darkness from our telescreens; and it has been very detrimental to my overall attitude and actions.

However I would say that excited and angry actions are sometimes requisite for powerful change; not ideal, but useful in certain places and certain times. We can't change the world by ourselves, and in general the masses are controlled by these driving emotions (and woe to they who would try to control them with logic).
